To obtain correct knitted edges, it is important to knit up the selvedge stitches correct, too. There are different forms to make it in a special form outside of the pattern. The knitter can decide which form one likes to work also if the edge disappears in a seam.
1) Forwarding course: 1st stitch and last stitch right.
2) Returning course: 1st stitch and last stitch left.

2) Returning course: Knit the 1st, 2nd the penultimate and last stitch left.
Slip in every row the 1st stitch right without to knit it. Knit the last stitch right.
Slip in every row the 1st stitch right twisted (it’s to say that pick up the back wire netting). Knit the 2nd stitch right, the penultimate and last stitch right.
